Following the recent boundary crisis between Abia and Akwa Ibom states, the Abia State Police Command has reiterated its commitment to forestall further loss of lives in the area.
Recently, four persons lost their lives during a boundary crisis in Ariam Usaka community, in Ikwuano Local Government Area of the state.
Addressing reporters in Umuahia, the State Commissioner of Police, Janet Agbede, said her Command is collaborating with the Akwa Ibom Police Command to protect lives and property in the area.
For the Commissioner, appropriate delineation of the boundary between Abia and Akwa Ibom will ensure a lasting solution to the crisis.

The Police Commissioner further urged the states’ deputy governors to meet and synergize for peace to return in the area.
