Senegal’s President, Macky Sall, has quarantined himself after coming in contact with someone who tested positive for Coronavirus.
The President tested negative but his office has said through a televised statement that he will self-isolate for two weeks as a precaution.
A Senegalese lawmaker, Yeya Diallo, had on Wednesday, announced that she had tested positive for the virus.

The Presidential statement did not disclose if President Sall and the lawmaker were in contact.
Senegal has so far confirmed 6,129 cases including 93 deaths.
