Troops of the Special Taskforce Operation Safe Haven, OPSH, have arrested over 1000 cattle and a large number of sheep grazing on farmlands belonging to locals at Dumunan village in Bwai district of Mangu Council Area in Plateau State.
Bwai district has been recently under frequent attacks with a number of famers were reported killed, houses burnt and many locals sacked.

The Special Taskforce in a statement by it’s media information officer, Captain Oya James, said preliminary investigation revealed that the detained cattle came from Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi local governments.
The statement says General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division and Commander Operation Safe Haven Major General AE Abubakar has promised to tackle the root cause of the crisis and prevent further attacks in the Mangu area.
