The Federal Airport’s Authority of Nigeria, FAAN says effective August 1st 2020 the Passenger Service Charge, PSC will be increased from one thousand naira to two thousand nairas on local flights and from 50 dollars to 100 dollars on international flights.
The new charges are contained in a memo to Airline Operators Committee signed by the managing director of FAAN Rabiu Yadudu .
Yadudu stated that the implementation of the new PSC is premised on the approval given by the minister of aviation

The FAAN also disclosed in the memo that the value of the PSC is outdated as the review was long over due since the last review was done in 2011.
He said the old rate cannot be sustained with the prevailing economic situation and the index to meet the needs of today and future growth in passenger traffic and airport development most especially for the airports to upgrade post covid 19 standards.
Yadudu called on stakeholders to support the implementation of the reviewed tariffs
