Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu / Akwa ibom State Governor, Umoh Enoh

Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, and his Akwa-Ibom counterpart, Umo Enoh have been called upon to work together to improve the living conditions of their citizens, especially in the area of infrastructure development.

The Newly ordained Auxillary Catholic Bishop of Calabar, Bishop Christopher Naseri made the call Sunday, shortly after his episcopal ordination at St Paul Parish, University of Calabar.

According to the Priest, lack of working together between the past governments of Akwa-Ibom and Cross River States have brought untold hardship to the people, citing Calabar -Itu – Uyo road as one of the worst roads in Nigeria.

He commended Governor Bassey Otu and Umo Eno for attending the event, saying their coming together was a sign of good things coming into the one state divided into two for administrative purposes.

On their Part, Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River and Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom States assured the Bishop of working together for the common interest of their people.

The event which was hosted by the Catholic Metropolitan Archbishop of Calabar, was attended by Dignitaries within and outside Nigeria, who harped on the essence of service to God and Humanity.
