The Benue State House of Assembly has constituted a ten-man ad hoc committee to carry out verification of staff and civil servants salaries and wage bills.
The House decision is contained in a statement issued today by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Raphael Akume Ityav.
“The Benue State House of Assembly today 25th July 2023 set up an Adhoc Committee for the Verification of Staff/Civil Servants’ Salaries and Wage Bill.” According to the Chief Press Secretary, the Committee is will be chaired by Saater Tiseer.
Other members of the committee are; Mathew Damkor, Gyila Solomon, Manger Manger, Yanmar Ortese and Michael Audu. The statement names other members to include, Kennedy Angbo, Blessed Onah, Bemdoo Ipusu, and Abraham Z. Jabi. “The statement read in part.

The committee summoned the verification committee set up by the governor, SUBEB/TSB, NUT, NULGE, the Auditor General of State and that of Local Government to appear before it tomorrow, July 26, 2023, at the Benue State House of Assembly complex by 10 a.m. ”
The Assembly further appealed to those affected by the recent verification, Unions, groups, and association not to go on protest and allow the Adhoc committee set up by the Assembly to carry out its fact-finding mission of resolving the problem,” the statement concluded
