Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has returned to Lokoja, the state capital after several official engagements in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja where he attended to public and private meetings.

In the past few days, rumors emerged in some sections of the social media of the governor’s deteriorating health condition and some even reported that he died.

However, pictures of the governor being received by jubilant crowd around the Koton Karfe area of the state surfaced on the internet at about five o’clock with the governor waving to the cheering crowd.

Yahaya Bello debunked the wild spread rumor, describing it as the handiwork of people with bad intentions, stressing that he was never sick and remained hale and hearty since he left for Abuja for some important engagements.

The Governor assured citizens that after a week long of engagements in Abuja he was back to resume this duty fully with a renewed vigor of stamping out crimes from the state.

Governor Yahaya Bello was received back to Lokoja amidst wild jubilation by his teeming supporters who waited at strategic points to catch a glimpse of him while his entourage moved slowly to the Government House, Lokoja at about five thirty on Wednesday evening.
