The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, has called for the immediate and unconditional release of its members that were kidnapped on a production badge in Rivers State, South-South Nigeria.
President of the Union, William Akporeha, at a media briefing in Lagos on Thursday said the workers were kidnapped by 4.30 am Thursday on Adas-OML off Bonny Waters.

The Union, while speaking on extortion if its members by security agents especially during the Covid-19 crisis, also issued a 2-week ultimatum to the Federal Government to commence total rehabilitation of roads so as to save lives and property on the highways.
