Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has directed the lifting of the Covid-19 lockdown order in the State, while maintaining the 10pm to 4am night time curfew.
The Governor said this in a statement signed by his Chief pressY Secretary, Abba Anwar during the Kano State Task Force on Covid-19 media briefing, held at Africa House of Government House, Kano on Thursday.
Ganduje noted that the 3 days a week lockdown order is now lifted with people now free to move around for the 7 days of a week while observing the 10pm to 4pm curfew.
Civil servants on grade level 12 and above are directed to resume work from Monday July 6 while markets and motor parks are allowed to open. The State Government however insists that people should observe the protocols of Covid-19 as issued by health authorities.

The statement added that street begging is banned, and only one person is allowed on motorcycle while tricycle operators must not take more than two passengers.
On schools re-opening, Governor Ganduje hinted that, “All schools will only be reopened on the directive of the Federal Government.
