Ahead of the resumption of schools in Cross River State, the Government has commenced renovation of one school per Community in Cross River Central Senatorial District.
Governor Ben Ayade made this known when he commissioned one of the primary schools at Akpet Central Community in Biase Local Government Area of the State.
Ayade who was represented by the Commissioner for International Development Cooperation said the renovation of selected schools became neccesary due to the need to make the teaching and learning enviromnent conducive for the pupils as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking on behalf of the benefitting communities, Chairman of Biase Local Government Council, Adah Charles said the facilities will be put in use even as she promised that the Council will equip the benefitting schools.

The renovation of the schools is in partnership with the European Union as part of the Sustainable Development Goals Strategy in Cross River State
