The South-East Zonal Executive of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has waded into the crisis rocking the Anambra State Chapter with a stern warning to all litigants to withdraw all court cases and embrace peace or face disciplinary actions.

PDP National Vice Chairman (South East), Austin Umahi gave the directive at an emergency Zonal Executive Council meeting in Enugu State on Friday.

He said it is unacceptable what the Party describes as “man-made-crisis” in the Anambra State Chapter of the party alleging that it is being induced by forces outside of the State and Zone.

Umahi is emphatic that the zonal leadership will not tolerate what he calls “rascality and merchandising” in the Anambra State Chapter of the party ahead of the 2021 governorship polls.

In a communique issued at the end of the South East Zonal Executive Commitee meeting holds that the Party’s structure in Anambra State is intact and cautioned aggrieved persons to channel their complaints approximately.

Recently, the Anambra State Chapter of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party has been hit by internal disagreements among party officials resulting in a wave of alleged suspensions and court litigations threatening the party’s unity and cohesion ahead of the 2021 governorship election in the State.
