The Katsina State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, says it has arrested three suspected members of a syndicate who specialize in breaking into houses in Katsina communities to rob.
A statement by the spokesman of the command, Deputy Superintendent of Corps, Buhari Hamisu, said the suspects had, in the course of the investigation, confessed to committing the offence.
According to Hamisu, the suspects admitted to having conspired with their ring leader, one Yahaya Shuaibu, also known as “Jidda,” and three others now at large, to burgle a residence and a compound of two flats, of one Jafaru Sani Buhari and Buraimoh Abbas Olayemi, at Shararrar Pipe Quarters within the metropolis, and steal several items worth thousands of Naira.
He noted that the suspects will be charged in court for prosecution at the end of an investigation.
