Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has visited the site of the helicopter crash in the Ikeja area of the state and commended the efforts of the first responders and residents who joined in the rescue mission.
Speaking with newsmen after assessing the site of the crash, Governor Sanwo-Olu, who was on his way from the airport after joining President Bola Tinubu on a trip to Benin Republic, said no life was lost in the incident.

The Governor commended the State Emergency Management services and residents of the neighborhood who participated in putting out the fire from the aircraft after it crash-landed.
He expressed his gratitude to God that the incident did not result in any fatality, saying an extensive investigation into the incident will be carried out by the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB).
A Single engine fixed wing – Jabiru aircraft, with two passengers on board crashed into an old communications pole at around 4pm on Oba Akran Avenue, close to the busy Ikeja bus stop.
