A Twenty-two man High Powered Administrative Committee of Inquiry into land disputes between farmers and herders has been inaugurated in Bauchi State.

Governor Bala Mohammed said the formation of the committee has become necessary due to the recent communal clash in Misau Local Government Area of the state, which claimed about 10 lives.

The 22-member High Powered Administrative Committee of Inquiry took their oath of office promising to find lasting solution to the crisis

Governor Bala Mohammed said part of the committee’s assignment is to work out the modalities of finding a lasting solution to land disputes and rescue forest reserves, as well as curtail the illegal land encroachment in the state.
