Organised labour says the ongoing Nationwide protest is against the N520 per litre hike in Petrol and has not decided yet on the N617 per litre.

Labour says the federal government is confused for the President said over one Trillion naira has been saved from non payment of subsidy, but the committee it is meeting says nothing has been saved.

NLC President Joe Ajaero also said all meetings with the government have not yielded any positive result since they are represented by officials who do not understand the plight of the Nigerian masses.

Labour also said the non mention of fixing local refineries by President Tinubu is insensitive and calculated attempt to continue to import refined fuel.

On his part, TUC President, Festus Osifo asks Lawmakers to show example in cutting cost of governance by using locally made cars, employing fewer aides, and patronise locally made goods.

Receiving a petition from the organised labour on behalf of the National Assembly, Senate chief whip, Ali Ndume said Nigerian workers must fight for good education, available jobs, peace and a working government.

Ndume said Lawmakers were taken aback how talks broke down between Organised Labour and the executive and demanded that organised labour should be discussing with the President or the vice.
