Commercial activities have gradually resumed at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport ahead of flight resumption slated for Saturday.
Businesses like bureau de change operators, food sellers, and recharge cards sellers open through preventive protocols are enforced at the Airport.
This news on the resumption of flight brought respite to many especially those who earn their daily living working around the airport environs.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced many shop owners at the Airport to stay at home as the airport remained shut for the past three months bringing untold hardship to them.
Some of the shop owners lament that the experience was not palatable but expressed happiness to be back.
The airport now wears a new look as certain changes can be observed around the airport. The changes are not unconnected with the coronavirus pandemic. Insistence on face mask, social distancing, hand sanitizers, temperature check, luggage disinfectant are some of the new practices put in place at the airport.
