President Bola Tinubu on Sunday evening met with Governors of states that share boundary with Niger Republic at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting was part of consultations by the President on the situation in neighbouring Niger Republic.
Governors at the meeting were Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto, Umar Namadi of Jigawa, Mai Malam Buni of Yobe, Idris Nasir of Kebbi and Dr Dikko Radda of Katsina.

The Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government had given the leader of the coup in Niger Republic, General Abdourahamane Tchiani seven days to return power to President Mohammed Bazoom failure of which the sub-regional body may use force.
