Following the nomination of the former Katsina State Secretary To The State Government, SSG Musa Dangiwa, as a minister-designate by President Bola Tinubu, and his resignation from office, Governor Dikko Radda has approved the appointment of Abdullahi Faskari as his replacement.
In a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Muhammed, the appointment of Faskari, who was a former Deputy Governor of Katsina State between 2011 and 2015, takes immediate effect.
According to the governor, Faskari is expected to bring on board, his vast technocratic wealth of experience, as he joins the Katsina State Government, describing him as putting a square peg in a square hole.
According to the statement, “He is eminently qualified to join our progressive-minded administration, and I can vouch for his intellectual pedigree and exceptional administrative acumen”.
“He is going to fill the huge vacuum, Architect Ahmed Dangiwa has left behind. The new SSG is one of the most accomplished public servants Katsina State has had in recent years”, the governor added.
The statement further added that “His contributions to the development and growth of the state, while serving as Deputy Governor to former Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema, were unparalleled,” Radda said.
Until his recent appointment as SSG, Faskari was the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of, Governing Council of the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, in Katsina.
