Okoro Alawari has assumed duty as the Commissioner of Police in Plateau State, The spokesman for the Plateau Police Command DSP Alfred Alabo disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos.
CP Alawari, who is the 43rd Plateau Police Commissioner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma and a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos.

The Commissioner of Police, who hails from Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State was commissioned as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in March, 1990.
He has served in various capacities across different states of the Federation.
The CP from his early days as an Assistant Superintendent of Police and rising to the rank of Deputy Commissioner Police, he has served the nation in various capacities which includes, Divisional Crime Officer (DCO), Divisional Traffic Officer (DTO), Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Tactical Team Commander, Area Commander, Head, Department of Finance and Administration, Operations and Investigation, just to mention but a few.
Upon assumption of office on Friday the commissioner, assured the people of Plateau State that the Command under his watch will continue to improve on the protection of lives and property, maintainance of law and order, while creating a safe environment for all Plateau State residents
