The Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria has adjourned for judgement in the petitions filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and its governorship candidate, Abdulazeez Adediran and that of the Labour Party standard bearer, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour challenging the victory of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The petitioners had raised allegations of non-compliance of the March 18 Governorship election to the 2022 Electoral Act.

The adjournment by the Justice Arum Ashom-led Tribunal on Saturday followed adoption of final written addresses by parties in the petitions which also seek to question the credibility of the WAEC certificate presented to INEC by Governor Sanwo-Olu.
The date for the judgement will be communicated to Counsels to all the parties when the three-member panel is ready to deliver it within the statutory 180 days from the announcement of the election result.
