Palliatives: Cross River Governor, Bassey Otu meets Organised Labour again

Cross River Governor, Bassey Otu

Organised Labour in Cross River State, South-South Nigeria has met with Governor Bassey Otu for the second time in less than two months on issues of palliatives for workers following removal of fuel subsidy.

Briefing Government House Correspondents, after the meeting, State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC Gregory Ulayi who led the team said, workers in Cross River State were very hopeful that they will smile in a few days to come.

In the same vain, the management of the University of Calabar led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Florence Obi has called on the Governor to also intervene in the security challenges confronting the institution.

The two meetings were held separately behind closed-doors.
