The Taraba State Technical Committee on Covid-19 says the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Chairman in the State, Peter Gambo, did not die of the disease as speculated in some quarters.
The Chairman of the Committee, Innocent Vakkai, said the three recent cases in the state are in stable condition.
Vakkai said the state has so far tested about 450 samples, with a total of 28 discharged cases and 2 active ones at present.
The Committee Chair said that the state does not have a test centre yet, hence the inability to have enough samples tested.
He also clarifieed that the Taraba State Nigeria Labour Congress Chairman, did not die of covid-19, as his test result returned negative.
Meanwhile, Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku, in a press statement, extended his condolences to the NLC and the family of the Late Taraba State Labour Chairman who died at the Specialist Hospital, Jalingo.

The Governor said that the late labour leader’s role in making government a strategic partner will be greatly missed.
