Farmlands, fish ponds, and homes in Lapai Gwari community in Bosso Local Government Area of Niger State have been submerged by flood.
The flood was as a result of heavy down pour for long hours that started on Wednesday night and stopped Thursday morning.
The devastating nature of the rain affected properties running to millions of naira.
Secretary to the State Government, Ahmad Matane, described the incident as an act of God, stressing that the state government is concerned.

National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, had earlier this year passed a message to communities around riverine areas in the state of possible flood during this year’s raining season.
