Seven bandits have been neutralized, while five were captured alive in Zamfara, Sokoto and Katsina States by troops of Operation Sahel Sanity, a subsidiary of Operation Hadari Daji.
The Acting Director Defense Media Operation, Headquarters Abuja, Brigadier General Benard Onyeuko, made this known in a press statement made available to newsmen in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.
The statement says, the troops have also recovered 121 cows and thirty-seven sheep which have been handed over to the Committee for the Recovery of Rustled Animals.
The troops in addition, recovered one AK 47 rifle and thirty motorcycles.
They have also destroyed their hideouts in Katsina and Sokoto States.
