Opara’s is claiming that a tweet posted by the official handle of the State Security Service (@OfficialDSSNG) on the Twitter platform contained defamatory statements about him.

The tweet in question accused Opara of being an overzealous uninformed IPOB/ESN lawyer.
Opara also averred that the defamatory statements made in the tweet have not only harmed his professional and personal reputation but have also affected his clients’ perception of his competence.

He demands an official apology from the defendants, including a letter of apology on Twitter’s platform and in a widely-read newspaper.

The lawyer is also demanding N10 billion in general damages for what he described as the defamatory, demeaning, disparaging, and harmful words published on the platform.
No date has been given for hearing of the suit
