The management of the University of Calabar has suspended the Dean, Faculty of Law, Professor Cyril Ndifon for following sexual harassment allegations leveled against him.
The suspension according to the university, takes effect from August 17, 2023, as contained in a letter signed by the University Registrar, Gabriel Egbe.
The letter says Professor Ndifon’s suspension became necessary following an investigative panel set up by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Florence Obi.

Professor Ndifon has been told to hand over all the University property and documents in his possession to his immediate subordinate and stay away from the University environment except when invited by the panel.
Female students in the Faculty of Law of the University, last Monday staged a protest against Professor Ndifon for what they described as incessant sexual harassment and abuse on them.
