The Cross River State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, has expressed its readiness to partner with traditional rulers in the State in giving useful intelligence information on illegal migration and route identification.

Comptroller of Immigration in the State, James Ezugwu, made this known in Calabar during his visit to some illegal routes in riverine communities in Calabar South Local Government Area of the State.

Ezugwu, who also visited the Paramount Ruler of Calabar South, Professor Itam Hogan, said his Command will establish the Immigration Border Community Relations Committee to man all border communities in the State with the support of the traditional rulers.

In his response, Professor Hogan assured the Comptroller of his subject’s collaboration at all times, asking the Immigration to improve in the security of the area.
