A Nigerian Culinary Academy instructor, Chef Gladys Abulu has emerged winner in the Bread Production category at the Third West African Food Festival, WAFFEST, which held in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria.
Chef Gladys Abulu defeated 26 contestants from 14 West African countries and 12 invited contestants from other regions of the African continent. She emerged overall winner after producing 32 varieties of bread in less than eight hours.
Speaking to journalists, Chef Abulu urged the Nigerian Government to prioritise investment in small, micro and medium scale enterprises, to boost the country’s economy.

Abulu dedicated the award to the country’s youths and challenged well-to-do Nigerians to invest in more productive ventures.
