Two lawyers who were alleged to have rigged the August 2018 Nigerian Bar Association, NBA national elections have been charged to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC.
In a fourteen count charge filed before the federal high court, Lagos against the duo Sarah Ajibola, and John Demide, on May 15th the anti-graft agency accused them of manipulating the 2018 election in favour of the incumbent President of the NBA Paul Usoro.
The suit is yet to be assigned to a judge.

Meanwhile, E-voting elections were introduced in 2016 to the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA and have been said to be fraught with allegations of irregularities, manipulation and deliberate tampering with the process.
This has oftentimes resulted in litigation, some of which is still pending in court even as lawyers in the country are expected to elect new officers few weeks from now
