Due to the devastating impact of oil exploration by multinational oil companies on the environment and as the world moves away from fossil fuel and gas, Environment Rights activists have thought it wise to brainstorm on how the Nigerian government can begin to think towards energy transition in order not to be left behind in the comity of nations.
After painstaking deliberations on the general concept of fossil fuel impact, they suggested that for Nigeria to embrace the call for renewable energy, women should be carried along in the scheme of things.
They say the transition process is not only about phasing out polluting sectors, it will also create jobs and opportunities to create equal and resilient economy.
