Nigeria inches towards her 40,000th Covid-19 case as 24 states record 438 new infections to take the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 39,997.
The states with the new infections include Lagos-123; Kaduna-50; Rivers-40; Edo-37; Adamawa-25; Oyo-20; Nasarawa-16; Osun and Enugu-15 each; FCT-14.
Others are Ekiti and Ondo-13 each; Ebonyi-11; Katsina-10; Abia-9; Delta-8; Kwara-4; Ogun, Cross River, Kano and Bauchi-3 each; Yobe-2; Sokoto and
Niger-1 each.
There are 389 Covid-19 patients discharged across Nigeria bringing the total number of successfully treated cases in the country now to 16,948.

Meanwhile, 11 Covid-19 fatalities were recorded across Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the death toll at 856.
