Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari after missing the recent Eid-El Fitr prayers joined Muslim faithful at the Dan Fidio Jummat Mosque to observe the prayers.
In his sallah message to the people of the State, Masari says the government is making efforts to ensure that the insecurity situation will soon be a thing of the past.
The prayer which was conducted in a peaceful atmosphere amidst tight security, witnessed large gathering of Muslim faithful including both the young, old, women and children.
Although the NCDC guidelines on COVID-19 were not totally observed especially physical distancing and wearing of face masks, only the Governor and his entourage seem to have observed them as, there were also hand sanitizers readily available at every entry points into the Mosque.
The Governor while addressing journalists after the prayers called on the people to remain resolute, committed, understanding and use the celebration period to keep praying for peace and stability to occur.
Masari further urged the people to keep cooperating with the security agencies by way of giving timely, accurate information and desist from being informants to the bandits.
The Imam of the mosque, Zakariyya Aliyu, thereafter led the 2-unit prayers.
