The management of Air peace airline has confirmed the death of A 72-year-old passenger who died on board an Air Peace flight P47182 en route Abuja from Calabar on Saturday.
The Airpeace spokesperson Stanley olisah who revealed this to journalists via telephone said the man had been on medication and was travelling to Abuja for a medical examination when the incident happened.
Olisa said the death was confirmed by a Port Health official, who said that the passenger was certified fit to fly but had no pulse upon the plane’s arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
He noted that It is not a COVID-19 related case as He was going to Abuja for a check-up and was on medication while on board and pointed out that the aircraft has been decontaminated immediately after the incident.

The deceased was reportedly escorted to the airport by his daughter, and cleared by Port Health officials at the Calabar airport to fly.
