Just In: FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike sacks heads of 21 agencies

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Nyesom Wike has relieved about heads of 21 parastatals, agencies and government establishments of their appointments with immediate effect.

Those affected are the Group Managing Director of the Abuja Investment Company; Managing Directors of Abuja Markets Management Limited, Abuja Urban Mass Transport Company, Abuja Property Development Company and the Abuja Technology Village Free Trade Zone.

Others are the Managing Directors of Abuja Film Village International, Powernoth AICL Equipment Leasing Company Limited, Abuja Broadcasting Corporation and the Abuja Enterprise Agency.

Also on the list are the General Manager of FCT Water Board; Directors-General of FCT Emergency Management Agency and FCT Hospitals Management Board; Executive Secretary of FCT Primary Health Care Development Board; and the Director of Abuja Environmental Protection Board, AEPB.

The Minister also relieved the Directors of the FCT Scholarship Board, FCT Health Insurance, FCT Christian Pilgrims Board and FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board of their appointments.

The Coordinators of the Abuja infrastructure Investment Centre, Satellite Towns Development Department, and Abuja Metropolitan Management Council have also been sacked.

The affected officials are to hand over the affairs of their offices to the most senior officers as appointments into the offices will be made in due course.
