The National Association Of Nigeria Nurses And Midwives,Katsina State Chapter, has disowned two alleged baby traffickers arrested by the Police.
The two suspected nurses Misira Tijjani and Grace Ejiogu were arrested for alleged involvement in the trafficking of a 3 day old baby at a private hospital in Katsina.
Addressing journalists at the council’s secretariat, the Chairman of the association Haruna Mamman, described the two suspected female nurses as fake And imposters.
According to investigation Mamman said that ” both the proprietor of the hospital and the two alleged nurses were not trained as qualified nurses or registered as members of their association “.
He said they conducted their investigation to save the face of other practicing nurses in the state and the nation at large.
Maman informed the journalists that the association will institute legal action against the hospital proprietor and the two women for impersonation and defamation of character”.

With this incident as an Eye-opener, Mamman said the association will painstakingly go round all the hospitals both public and private, on a fact finding mission towards ensuring the employment of professionals.
