Residents of Imo State, South East Nigeria are expressing concern over the failure of the Niger Delta Development Commission to site projects in the state.
They describe the action of the Development Commission as marginalisation.
Two decades on, the people are still yearning for development, with abandoned projects strewn all over the landscape of the nine states within the agency’s mandate.
The situation in Imo State is not different, with these projects scattered all over the place, despite huge annual budgetary allocations.
The people are calling for a total overhauling of the system.

Also Concerned about the situation is the House of Assembly member representing Oguta constituency, Frank Ugboma, who believes that NDDC has completely derailed from its responsibilities.
They are however appealing to government not to politicise the commission but appoint the right people who will command public trust.
