Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri has urged traditional rulers in the State to relocate to their domains and work closely with his administration in promoting peace and stability at the grassroots.
The Governor gave the charge at a meeting with the State Council of traditional rulers in Yenagoa, admonishing them to remain apolitical in administering the affairs of their Kingdoms.
It was the maiden meeting between Governor Douye Diri with the Council of Traditional rulers since his assumption of office about six months ago.
Governor Diri used the occasion to brief the royal fathers on the state of affairs ohis government.

The Bayelsa Governor enjoined the monarchs to use their good offices to promote peaceful co-existence in the various communities.
The Governor thanked the Federal government over plans of building a museum and research centre in Oloibiri, the community where oil was first discovered in commercial quantity in Nigeria but, also appealed for more infrastructural projects that would have a direct bearing on the people.
With this meeting, it is expected that both parties will work in partnership to bring about the desired needs of the people especially those at the grassroots.
