The Director General of the Progressive Governors Forum Salihu Lukman, has challenged the Mai Mala Buni led All Progressives Congress caretaker/convention working committee, to strengthen the internal party’s rule by setting up a constitutional Review committee.
Lukman also wants the caretaker committee, to present the proposals for ratification at the Extra-Ordinary National Convention, of the party holding soon.
In a statement in Abuja on Saturday, Lukman noted that the Party has deviated from its open door policy in 2014, to a party controlled by a few.
He noted that the APC can only be referred to as a progressive, if it drops all the characteristeristics of other political parties, which are out to serve their selfish masters, rather than the people and Nigeria’s Democracy.
According to him, the reform should go beyond constitutional review, but also urgently develop a code of conduct, for the elected and appointed officials of the party as bye laws to regulate conduct of Party leaders.
