Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, Sam Amadi has called on President Bola Tinubu to remove the Independent National Election Commission resident electoral commissioners in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi states, found to be impartial or indicted for electoral malpractices ahead of the off-cycle elections in November.
Amadi made the call at a media conference in Abuja on the ongoing of election tribunal verdicts and preparations towards the November 11th governoship elections in the three states.

He said the failure of INEC to discharge its duties efficiently has led to the rise in off-cycle elections.
Amadi said the off-cycle elections come with high security implications in the three states especially particularly in Imo.
He appealed to the electoral umpire not to repeat mistakes made before, during and after the 2023 general election.
