Four persons have been abducted by gunmen at Gamji community in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Shehu, confirmed that the four persons were abducted in the house of the immediate Former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftency Affairs, Bello Dankande Gamji, at his Gamji hometown in Bakura LGA.
Police say it received the report at about 5:00AM on Tuesday.

It indicates that, at about 4:30AM, a large number of armed men invaded the house and kidnapped two of his children and two others including an NSCDC officer on duty at the house.
One person was shot dead, while a woman was wounded in the process.
The police say they gave already deployed armed and plain clothes operatives who immediately embarked on search and rescue operations.
They appealled to members of the public, to avoid confronting gunmen during such invasion, but to report the incident on time to the police or any security agency nearest to them for prompt action.
