The Bayelsa State House of Assembly has cleared 24 Commissioner nominees.
This follows a four-hour screening session by the lawmakers, who charged the new commissioners to see their appointment as a call to improve the lives of the people, and not as an avenue for self-enrichment.
At the special plenary session, Speaker, Abraham Ingobere, three former state lawmakers who were also nominated and a returning commissioner, Maxwell Ebibai were told take a bow and leave, in line with rules of the Assembly.
