The Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, says it will send a delegation to Bamako with a view to restoring “constitutional order”.
The West African sub-regional body in a communiqué released by the ECOWAS Commission also announced Mali’s suspension from all decision- making bodies of its organs.
This follows Tuesday’s military take over.

The ECOWAS has also placed an economic and financial embargo on the country while calling for the immediate implementation of sanctions against all military officers, their partners and collaborators who ousted President Boubacar Keita.
