A combined effort of the joint security agencies have rescued all 18 people abducted at Kanya, Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Confirming the rescue to newsmen, Danko Wasagu Local Government Chairman, Hussani Aliyu-Bena, said the abducted persons were rescued at Karen Bena, where the bandits had attempted to cross into Zamfara State.
He attributed the successful operation to support received from the Kebbi State Government.
The council boss lauded the present administration for the prompt release of funds to security agencies,
He said the aid from the government will boost the morale of security personnel towards protecting the lives and property of the people in the state.
