Former United States President, Barack Obama, has criticised his successor in the White House, Donald Trump, for what he called poor handling of the affairs of state in the last four years.

Obama’s comments in a video link message to the Democratic National Convention holding in Wisconsin accused Trump of running an administration that “favoured only his cronies”.

The former President called on not only members of the Democratic Party, but also all Americans to vote Joe Biden, his former Vice President, and presumptive candidate in November’s presidential election, into office.

President Trump has already hit back at his predecessor.

At a White House press briefing, he said if Obama and Biden had done a good job while in office for eight years, he would not have been elected into office in 2016.
