The National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, Kano State Chapter, has shut down the Kano Electricity Distribution Company, KEDCO, over failure to remit pension for the last 72 months.
Leading the picketing of the electricity distribution company, the Northwest Chairman of the union, Ado Riruwai, said the workers cannot allow non-remittance of pension money by the company’s management.

Speaking to newsmen, the chairman of the union, Comrade Ado Riruwai, alleged that the KEDCO management has been victimizing workers, particularly union leaders, who spoke out over the development.
