The Nigeria Police Force headquarters in Abuja has invited former Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Obadiah Mailafia after he was invited twice in less than one week for questioning by the DSS Headquarters in Jos, the Plateau state capital over his comments on a radio station.
Mailafiya who confirmed the latest invitation to AIT in a telephone interview said he is expected to appear at the Force Headquarters Abuja on Monday August 24, 2020.
“Yes I was summoned to the Police Force Headquarters Abuja, asking me to appear by 11AM on Monday for Criminal investigation” Mailafiya said.
The renowned Economics has been on the radar of Nigeria’s security agencies in the past three weeks after an interview he granted on a radio station in which he allegedly said a current Northern Governor was a major sponsor of Boko Haram insurgents.
