The Federal Government is to establish an Oil and Gas Logistics Facility in Akwa Ibom State.
The Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva gave the cheery news at a State Banquet organised in his honour by the Akwa State Government in Uyo.
One issue that has agitated the minds of Akwa Ibom people for a long time has been the lack of any major oil and gas facility in the state, despite its status as the biggest contributor to Nigeria’s oil revenue.
This seems to have been put to rest by Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva.

Sylvia who lauded the peace and security in the state, also announced a partnership with the state government for the NNPC to make use of the 21 storey smart building in the state.
Governor Udom Emmanuel while applauding the heart warming news by the Minister, asked him to prevail upon ExxonMobil to relocate to the state.
Governor Emmanuel also stated that a car assembly plant was in the pipeline to create more jobs and opportunities for people in the state.
