Residents of Enugu State, South-East Nigeria, have called on the state government, to improve on the current security architecture and infrastructure development in the state.
Speaking on the 29 years of the state’s creation, they commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his holistic approach and called for further improvement.
The people said governor Ugwuanyi has also kept faith with the dreams and aspirations of its founding fathers by promoting the principles of love, unity, and peace among the political class in the state.
According to the people of Enugu State, the Governor’s commitment to the principles of transparency, due process, and prudent management of the state’s resources has ensured delivery of democracy dividends to the doorsteps of the people.

Created as an urban settlement in 1909 following the discovery of coal, Enugu State was made the administrative headquarters during the amalgamation of the northern and southern protectorate of Nigeria in 1914.
