The Imo State Government has reassured the people of its commitment towards creating job opportunities through partnership with the private sector.
Governor Hope Uzodinma said this when the Management of the Polymer Institute of Nigeria paid him a courtesy visit at the state house
The Management of the Polymer Institute of Nigeria was in Owerri to inform the Governor of the company’s readiness to make waste management a source of economic resources.
President of the Institute Prof. Paul Mamga assured that the group’s presence in Imo state would significantly enhance employment opportunities in the state.
Governor Uzodimma commended the group for pushing through the Chartered Polymer Institute of Nigeria bill, and promised to work with them for the benefit of Imo people.
He directed the Deputy Governor to work with the group and seek how to include Polymer Technology in the curriculum of the Imo state Polytechnic Umuagwo.
Uzodinma also directed the group to liaise with the Ministry of Environment on waste management.
