The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) and incumbent Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki and the Deputy Director-General of the PDP State Campaign Council, Gideon Ikhine have charged the people of Ovia South-West Local Government Area to ensure that they turn out in large numbers to vote for the PDP and not succumb to any form of intimidation on September 19.
They gave this charge as PDP wraps up its campaign in the Local Government.
The PDP began its campaign to Ovia South West on Thursday visiting six wards.
On Friday, the campaign trail visited the remaining four wards.
The campaign kicked off from Ora Ward 6 where the Deputy Director General of the State Campaign Council, Gideon Ikhine called on the people to send a message through their vote to the main opposition party in the state that the incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki remains their choice.
Speaking, Governor Obaseki unfolded his intention to further improve the living standard of the people when re-elected.
The team also visited Udo Ward 5 and later arrived the Palace of the Iyase of Udo, His Royal Highness, Patrick Igbinidu where Obaseki and his running mate, Philip Shaibu received royal blessings and prayers for victory at the polls.
From there they proceeded to Ofunama Ward 9 and Nikorogha Ward 10; selling the credentials Governor Obaseki to the people who had turned out in large number to welcome the campaign team.
